Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is given below, having telecommunications operators such as MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9Mobiles, and more to block all the customers’ SIm cards that refuse to register along with the National Identification Numbers (NIN) in 2 weeks. 

Register Your NIN- Information Requirement

MTN NIN code is here. Below given are the possible requirements that you might need for the process of registering your NIN to your mobile number,

  • Mobile Number

  • Email Address

  • Full Name

  • NIN Number

  • Date of birth.

  1. Visit the Customer NIN Capture that is https://mtnonline.com/nin/

  2. You can then input your MTN number after filling in your full name.

  3. Then put your NIN

  4. Then, fill in your email address

  5. Finally, click on the ‘SUBMIT’ button

What Is The Mobile Short Code For MTN?

  1. You can dial *785#

  2. Then, a window will pop up stating you must input your 11 digit national identification number 

  3. Input your 11 digit National Identification Number then you can send

  4. A window will pop up that states “Your NIN has been successfully Received”

  1. To attach NIN to your Airtel line, go to www.airtel.com and click on the online registration page. ng/nin OR dial *121*1# from an Airtel phone to send your NIN Type 1 for “NIN Capture.”

  2. Send your 11-digit NIN number.

  3. Keep an eye out for the mail that confirms your submission.

  4. If you receive an error, simply wait a few moments and try again.

  1. Simply dial the USSD code *200*8# and follow the prompts to input your data to link NIN to your 9mobile line; OR

  2. To submit an online form, go to 9mobile.com.ng/nin.

  3. To verify and link your NIN, go to the ‘Verify and Link Your NIN Now’ page.

  4. Complete the relevant fields and submit the form.

  1. You can either complete the online registration portal at www.gloworld.com/ng/nin to link NIN to your Glo line

  2. Or visit the online registration portal at www.gloworld.com/ng/nin to link NIN to your Glo line. Alternatively, dial *109*yourNIN# (for example, *109*90123456789#) and follow the prompts to enter your information.

  3. Or text your 11-digit NIN number to 109 (e.g., 90123456789 to 109) and wait for a response.

How To Retrieve NIN Without A Phone Number?

If you’ve misplaced your phone number (which you used to enroll for the NIN) and the temporal NIMC slip, try the steps below to get your NIN back.

  1. With your current number linked to your BVN, dial the general retrieval code (*346#).

  2. Try out the NIMC Mobile app, which you can download from the NIMC website or the Google Play store.

  3. Print your NIN slip with the QR code and view your cell phone at nimc.gov.ng.

  4. If none of the above methods work, go to any NIMC office in your area to speak with an official who can assist you.
